I
just talked to Dave from State of Mind, we're on for Friday.
Not sure what time we're playing, but he said he will know
all on Thurs. May be up to 4 bands there that night, but
he says it's their gig, they booked it, and they would rather
have us play than anyone else.
Just
keep your guards up. As far us, we're on. I'd assume the
usual late night shit that is Viele's, so plan on 9:00 pm
arrival on the Planet, unless I hear different from Dave
on Thurs....

Hey
E*ted. I was seeing if the ops want to play a daytime show
on the 4th of july in downs. It is 5 miles from Normal.
It would kicks ass if you guys could make it.The first band
goes on around 3 and next about 3:45. I imagine you could
have what ever slot you want after that. It is cool because
it is a daytime festival and you boys could be home that
night if needed,
-Levi
Ok here is the
shakedown. The lady 'one in command of the set up' said
she was going to try and do it battle of the bands style.
I told her that it was not a good idea. But she said the
money prizes would be in check form. I told her that you
guys would need to have it in cash. And the Champaign band
too jiggsaw... She said sheíd have some cash to trade
in the check.. Any way the money involved is $150 1st, $100,
2nd, $50 3rd, $25 4th There is a middle school band playing
for 20 minutes so they will enjoy the 25 Iím sure..

We
wanted to remind everyone about the guestlist guidelines. We
have only gotten guestlists from 2 bands. Also here is an updated
Map to Band Camp. The last one was not correct in how to get
to the Campgrounds, as it is not actually in the town of Tallula,
IL.
The
campground is on RT. 97 between Petersburg and Springfield.
If you cant see this map, go to the Bandemonium
website to view it.
Also,
if your band has gotten tickets from Rob, to sell to your fans,
remember to bring leftover tickets and money to the gate as
you enter the grounds. Any questions, dont hesitate to ask!
Please
forward this to any band members you know that I have missed
or that I dont have contact info for. Thanks, and lets make
this the party of the summer! Oh, and dont forget to bring naked
chicks! Rock on!

Martin

Spoken Word/DJ tour
Aug
20th, 2003, 8:00pm
The ORIGINAL Space 830 S. College, SPFLD, IL
8pm to 1am - FREE
Martin
Atkins, drummer of Pigface, producer and owner/founder of Invisible
Records and organizer and promoter of the music collective, Underground
Inc. will be in Springfield August 20th at The Space at 830
S. College to do a spoken word performance reading from his
tour diaries and DJing rare unheard tracks from his many projects
over the years. This is the first time Martin has visited us,
let's show him some love.
Underground
Inc. brought you Tub Ring! Martin Played with Ministry, NIN, Killing
Joke, P.I.L., the Damage Manual, Skinny Puppy, Revolting Cocks
and many many more. His tour diaries are full of stories from
all these efforts and more, plus the guy has a sense of humor
from HELL. Sure you have SEEN and HEARD bands and performers in
Springfield, but have you ever gotten to sit down and hear some
inside dope on the industry before? Don't miss this once in a
lifetime chance to hear about inside details on the history of
punk rock and industrial music.
For
those of you who still don't know what we're talking about, P.I.L.
was Johnny Rotten's band after the SEX PISTOLS! You got to get
on board this because if for any other reason you decide to come
to the Space that WED (like you will be busy or something) here
is the best one . . . . IT"S FREE!!!
mDj>ETed
will be opening for Martin. Here is Martin's setlist,

I'm passing your project along to Jim Pemberton, for his consideration.
We'll be happy to promote the event on the air. I'm looking for volunteers

spread the word that you are looking for a PA system too. If anyone

The Secret Plans 6/25/02 DIRECTIONS!
ok...the address is 1200 N. Bradforton Rd. You head west on Jefferson
past Veterans, and drive for about 5 min. Then you'll hit a stop light
next to some grain elevators. Turn left. Down on the left (i think)
side of the road. He said you can't miss it. The cover charge is $6.
We're going to start at 10 p.m. (or there about). He really wanted to
know what time we would be there, so I told him 9 p.m. (opening time).
I hope that is o.k. w/everyone. :-) The guys name is Justin Ford and
his home phone is 486-2027, incase anyone has a ? for him that I forgot
to ask. He said he would call me sometime before the show, just to reiterate.
L8TR!
p.s.: Kim, I haven't got to look at the flyer yet.
I'll scope it tommorrow,
but go ahead with it if you can print it and make some copies
to put up.
6/23/02:
"Just a little reiteration of the phone calls/messages
from earlier. A place called Club 10 out on Bradforton Rd. (my Aunt
Julie & Uncle Rick live out there) in Springfield wants us to play
next weekend. He, Justin Ford, said we can play Fri., Sat., or both
if we want to. The place is open from 9-1:30 on these days, and we can
start anytime we want. The last band he had play made "between
$100-$200" (which was 30% of the door). I don't know if this was
for 1 or 2 nights, but that's sounds real good to me. The expected (normal)
turnout is 50-75 kids. He says he likes to have 15 to 20 year olds,
but sometimes some younger kids show up. I would really like to call
Justin back A.S.A.P., since I think this may be the next hot ticket
in this town (example: The Powerhouse), so let me know as soon as you
can. I'll get the specifics after I hear back from you. Thanx!
