eted | January 9th, 2012 |Comcast shut the studio doors on Access 4 on December 4th, 2009.
Some Community Producers have banded together to form a non-profit charity and help set up productions to replace the previous Comcast studio. A fundraising effort is currently underway to pay for a year’s lease for a location for a public studio and home for the remaining equipment that was given to the group by the City when Comcast turned over management of channel 4 to the municipality.
This is a formative time for the group as they confer with the City of Springfield and the other producers and suppporters on how to proceed.
